Give Your Kid a credit Debit card see how quickly they learn about MONEY!

IMG_3405
Mom's, listen up, the best thing I ever did was give my kid a debit card!  Your child will learn more from this then you can even imagine. Some kids just see us pull out our credit cards and wala instant merchandise. I wanted to show the process, as a entrepreneur I encouraged my daughter to "take the challenge" and  start a "FUN" business over  the summer. I took it a step further and gave her a debit card to buy whatever she wanted as long as she was accountable for the money in the account.  The debit card  was in my name, her possession, kept tight in in her  little cupcake wallet in her bag.

July 12, 2014 TONIGHT is a #supermoon, how to use the energy to make your intentions come true!

TONIGHT July 12, 2014 is a SUPERMOON

Super Moon Logo

What is a supermoon? We confess: before a few years ago, we in astronomy had never heard that term. To the best of our knowledge, astrologer Richard Nolle coined the term supermoonover 30 years ago. The term has only recently come into popular usage. Nolle has defined a supermoon as:… a new or full moon which occurs with the moon at or near (within 90% of) its closest approach to Earth in a given orbit

For of those of you who have never worked with the energy of the Full Moon, may be wondering how does one draw upon its energies? Well, I have a simple method I use which involves visualization and intention. I will also give you alternative method for drawing Full Moon energies to you that involve being outdoors and writing down your intentions.

Full Moon Meditation

Take a few deep breaths to help clear your mind and open your heart and spirit. Visualize a huge bright Full Moon hanging above you in the sky. It is shining so bright, so beautiful.  On a piece of paper write your intentions, whatever it is that you want "and more".  THINK and FEEL,Full Moon is shining all around you, all over you, and within you. Allow yourself  to look at the moon, admire the beauty, feel the light and energy.  Feel its positive energies, feel positive thoughts. Once you have taken all the energy you need from the Full Moon, start to think about your intention. Think about the true desire of your heart in this moment or at this point in your life. For some it might be finding love, job success, happiness for your children, whatever the positive intention is its all good. Focus on your desires. Begin to send the Full Moon's energy from within you to your desire.

This meditation helps to recharge your spiritual battery because it reminds you of your own inner power and inner strength to draw towards you the desires of your heart and to heal yourself. You can tweak this meditation to fit any need you may have at the time. And this is a good way to draw upon the energy of the Full Moon at any time during the month, not just when there's a Full Moon outside. Think about what you desire, send the message to the universe.

I like to write it down on a piece of paper, you can everything and anything that you want. Always remember the old saying " becarful what you wish for you might get it".  Don't be afraid to go for it and visualize and be grateful for all that you have and all that you hope to achieve. full moon, is a good time to perform positive energy , work with increases, good luck, growth, love, sexual desire, and wealth; it is a time of inflation. This is the best time to bring things to you and increase your fortune.

This is a fun way to use the energy of the moon!

1. Write down your intention, what you want!

2. Visual what you want

3 .Burn the paper  with your intentions(in a empty flower pot, firepit, whatever you have) take the ashes and put it out the universe!

Okay, some might think this is crazy, but it can't hurt and might even help you get to the next level. Look around, at what going on in the world, I feel is we all send out positive thoughts, help each other, the vibration of good with help us all. Blessings and may all your dreams come true, and more!

So, the next time you're feeling out of balance, a little drained, or in need of extra spiritual strength, draw upon the energy of the SUPER Moon realizing you are one with all things in the Universe and the energy shared is from the One who energizes all of us.

TREND? BINGE #Restaurant hopping #Binging and Proud, no longer dirty secret! I’ll tell you mine, if you tell me yours!

The word" Binge" today is not what it use to be, people want to be over satisfied then talk about it, no longer dirty little secret and all legal!  Binge Culture gives consumers permission to be addicts, this is my observation and a big trend!

IMG_5247

We have become a culture that embraces overdoing it, but now binging is becoming the norm. We all have a binge side to us, admit it  “binging satisfies a craving,”everything oversized, buying more, faster, instant gratification, we all want to feel like we have control and feel satisfied and then want to share it!  "5 restaurants in one night"IMG_5277

BINGE Restaurant hopping :People want to  over-satisfy desire., with no guilt.”, we all are binging on something, some admit some don't. I recently had lunch with a old friend, and he said that he and his wife will eat  up to five meals, hopping from one restaurant to another.  This  sounded insane to me!! Hedonistic! why why??  I could not understand until Until I tried it and it was fun, very fun, I actually ate less, drank  less and saw more sights then usual. Okay it cost a lot more too, but instead of going to the theater, or a show the restaurants became a live entertainment, how fast can the food reach the table, which restaurant offers better service, and on and on. It was fun, sitting and thinking about where I was going next. The insanity and binging was fun, and IM telling you about it. I can't dine like this all the time but once in a while its just silly fun!

Binge Shopping and celebrity watching:
IMG_5259

This is a new trend,  people are doing.  Think about our behavior as a society, how quick can you download, how quick before somebody "likes" what you put on Facebook, its all speed into every aspect of out lives. "Speed dating" "microwave version" of a story, quick fast satisfying, actually, I want to be over satisfy the consumer. Yes that's what we want we want to be "wowed", we want a story a story with good content and to be entertained,, am I right? People want to feel the power of making the choice, this binging gives people a sense of power.

Binge eating, no longer dirty secret: How many resturants did you hit last night?IMG_5246

“Binging” has been shameful and dangerous — think eating, drugs, no control -its a dirty little secret that  people use to want to hide BUT now people want to share.  This sounds nuts but its my observation. Binge is now a mainstream  word, we all know exactly what it means. Bingers may still feel guilty and hung over, but love it.IMG_5248

IM a consumer, Mom, and entrepreneur, and have noticed when the "binge" happens people have to feel overwhelmed for some time. The story of the binge wants to be told, or worn ($5,000.00 pocketbook) ($425. sunglasses) , and the compliments and interest is all part of  satisfaction. Does that make sense? Binge Culture gives consumers permission to be addicts and maybe even expects that behavior. It’s the idea that too much is not enough and that it’s okay to feel good about being a bit bad.

IM sending you all relaxing energy and encourage you just to take a big yoga breath and slow down. Because Binge is now a mainstream word and behavior. IMG_5268

Williamsburg Brooklyn my NEW SoHo and far more authentic!

IMG_5167

Williamsburg has become one of the many a new Hot spots for the what is "hip" & "cool" in not just Brooklyn but in New York City!!  I love it! There are great restaurants, cool shops affordable artwork.

I think I lost my love of Soho, on my last visit when shopping, I saw a sidewalk artist and I was interested buying a photo he took, I asked him how much and he said $3000.00,started getting the yucks, the sidewalks are so crowded, every art gallery you enter, starting price $5000.00 up, by time I pay for parking have lunch buy a few things, its a costly day. Right now, I am in love with Williamsburg, its family friendly, has great Vintage stores, street artist that are so talented and willing to negotiate, colorful people, and very relaxed back. My whole family enjoys the day trip, its very low stress and interesting, and a place that inspires my artistic side. IMG_5180

Creative Time

It's hard to hide a 75-foot-long, lily-white mammy in the shape of a sphinx in Brooklyn, but renowned artist Kara Walker has managed to pull it off. The trick: Stick it inside an abandoned building that's soon to see the ugly side of a wrecking ball.

The bare-breasted humanimal, whose skin is made of sugar, currently lurks in the abandoned Domino Sugar Refinery in Williamsburg. The iconic processing plant, which dates to the 1850s (though a fire once caused it to be rebuilt), ceased operations in 2004 and is slated to become just one more mixed development. To give it a fitting send-off, the arts group Creative Time tapped Walker—known for her cut-paper silhouettes loaded with themes of race, violence, and sexuality—to gift it with something truly monumental.

The sculpture's full title, a sentence in itself, references the troubled, colonial history of the sugar trade that helped inspire the piece: "A Subtlety: The Marvelous Sugar Baby, an Homage to the unpaid and overworked Artisans who have refined our Sweet tastes from the cane fields to the Kitchens of the New World." The folks at Brooklyn Street Art offer some insight into the difficulties Walker and her team had in erecting it:

On a technical note, she offers special thanks to the fabricating sculptors who struggled with the amber candy material as it reacted to changes in temperature and humidity. The floor itself had to be power-washed to loosen and dispel an inch of thick goo, and as we spoke she pointed to the dripping of a molasses type of liquid from the ceiling onto the sculpture. Asked by the [Creative Time] team if the sphinx should be whitened each time there was a drip, the artist decided that she likes the dripping effect so they will leave it as is and watch how the piece ages with the history of the building.

Below, find photos that Creative Time has offered of the Sphinx's mightiness. For those wishing to pay tribute in the flesh, trek to Williamsburg for the work's public debut this Saturday, May 10, and on certain hours every Friday to Sunday until July 6.
