Book club and Art Club It’s a fantastic way for them to socialize and read a book.  Make it fun let your kids pick the book. Even if they just read a few chapters or draw pictures to join in the conversation its good constructive fun.IMG_7783

Movie night is great,  its fun to watch Dad’s favorite and Moms favorite comedies too. Very nostalgic and always a good conversation starter.

Meditate, in this busy world I know it’s hard to stop but just sit unplugged, for 5 minutes in  with your eyes closed unplugged.

You will see how you slowly increase to 10, 15 minutes. You will feel more refreshed and productive. A healthy mind and body makes you more productive and a better problem solver.

Parenting cell phones, tips and reminders!

Unknown-2images-16images-8Parents and cell phones! I hate to pass judgment, but here are some tips and reminders why we need to be mindful. Everyone is clearly overusing cell phones its not only kids that are over using parents are too. Remember kids model adult behavior, this is how they grow to be functioning adults. It makes me crazy when I see a child and adult dining and the parent is ignoring the child talking to a friends or texting. Children need interaction with parents they need to feel acknowledged and secure, which helps them in their social skills and future self-esteem it begins when a baby smiles, the parent smiles back and laughs, so does mom and dad this is called “mirroring.”

Parents over use of cell phones around kids, can cause emotional and physical dangers,  When a parent is ignoring there child and always on the phone I call it the“emotional freeze out”, the poor kids have to compete with a phone, this causes a lot of anxiety for kids and they are start seeking attention any way they can get it. Kids also misbehave when they know there parents are distracted.

I don’t want to shame parents but here are guidelines that we can all use, even when we are working and taking kids on a outing at the zoo.

1.   Do not use the phone at meal time, engage with your  family  Have a phone basket during dinner every ones phone goes in the basket until meal time is over

2.   When at events WATCH your children, be engaged in the event, put your phone on vibrate and tell your other family member friends what you are doing so they wont be calling or texting you at that time

3.   If you are mobile working, hold your Childs hand or have help watching them if you are returning messages

4.   If you have a call to answer keep it brief, and don’t get into long conversations

5.   Speak softly, respect surroundings

6.   Remember you don’t have to be in constant contact

7.Send out a auto response that “I'm unavailable , if its a emergency call this number

8.Dont be looking at your phone crossing street, driving, and at the movies with the bright light

 9. Show children by example, if I hear one more  stupid, waste of time conversation while standing on line, as the kids run around I'm going to say "excuse me, but…"

10. I also think that parents need to help each other out, if you have a important call to make during a outing I know most moms would have no problem keeping a eye on your child for a few minutes.

11. If you need to check your phone, acknowledge the people you are with and say excuse me, I have to check my phone.

Respect people, respect the surroundings, respect your children and most conversations and texting are just a distraction from dealing with real life.
ENGAGE and stay in the moment.http://www.marketwatch.com/story/parents-heres-the-no-1-reason-you-should-get-off-your-cellphones-2016-06-06

Earth Day: Green Chic Lifestyle!

WELCOME

My 2015 Beauty Finds

Happy Earth Day 2016! To celebrate such an important occasion, I have curated a special selection of mouth-watering items that will make your life easier and more environmentally-conscious. Who said that green couldn't be chic?

(Psst… Follow the pretty bold pink links to learn more about the products!)

1. Lavender aromatherapy candle by Lather ($10): This gorgeous candle is made exclusively with natural ingredients. Manufactured with paraffin-free and 100% natural soy wax, a spun cotton wick, lavender essential oil and lavender buds, this wonderful candle quickly scents the room with a soothing and calming fragrance. This is one of my personal favorite candles to pair with a relaxing bath or for burning after a stressful day, right before I go to bed.

2. Organic Manuka Honey Lozenges by Wedderspoon ($11.99): Want to bring some USDA Organic Certified goodness in your life? These eucalyptus lozenges are a life saver. Chock-full with manuka honey and bee propolis, they are great to soothe raspy throats without synthetic nasties. Since I discovered them, I always carry a few lozenges in my purse- with this crazy New York spring weather you never know what to expect!

3. Organic mini bath bombs by G2 Organics ($15): The perfect companion for the lavender aromatherapy candle, these small bombs are big in natural contents. One bath bomb is enough to draw a relaxing bath that also soothes and calms the skin (mine is extremely dry, and I have found these beauties also leave it hydrated. Yay!) The set of mini bath bombs includes six amazing scents: Amber, Passion fruit, Mango Cilantro, Aqua Blueberry, Pink Sugar and Fresh Apple (my personal favorite.)

4. Garden-in-a-can by Back to the Roots ($23.96/ 4-pack):  Do you have a green soul but lack the skills to keep your plants alive? Well, you've just found your soul mate: I sometimes believe I left my green hand back in Spain. This wonderful invention by Back To The Roots allows you to plant non-GMO/ USD organic-certified basil (shown in picture), cilantro, sage, and dill in the comfort of your own windowsill. As easy as opening the can, putting the seeds, and watering them, this cute kit allows makes it fun and easy to harvest your own organic herbs. With no chemicals and no messy drainage holes, this gardenin-a-can is the perfect companion for my wardrobe-sized apartment in Gotham, and makes it the ideal companion for families who want to initiate their kids in the wonders of healthy agriculture (and healthy eating!).

5. Pure Castile Rose Liquid Soap by Dr. Bronner ($10.99/ 16 oz.): This liquid soap boasts one of the cleanest vegetable oil-based formulas out there. Made with organic and certified fair-trade ingredients, Dr. Bronner's soap is created after the original formulas originating from the Castile region in Spain, with which I'm personally acquainted. Vegetable oil-based Castile soaps have been used in my country for centuries, and I'm really glad to report that Dr. Bronner's formula is very much what I expected.

This is a genuinely ecological and simple soap that can be used for almost anything: To clean your face, your body, or even your home – it's a great ally to wash food, do the dishes, get a sparkling laundry, mop your floors, or clean your pets– with no synthetic preservatives, detergents or foaming agents. This means no Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfate, a common chemical detergent to which I am extremely allergic. I personally use Dr. Bronner's Pure Castile Liquid Soap to clean my kitchen and my bathroom; by mixing it with baking soda, it attacks the toughest grease stains. However, and because it is a very concentrated formula, you need to dilute it to get the best results. You can visit Dr. Bronner's blog here for suggestions on how to make the most of this wonderful product.

6. Hanging Air Plant Terrarium by Maker's Kit ($24, featured here with a black display stand from Amazon): This cute DIY green kit includes a hanging glass bubble, preserved moss and lichen, decorative rocks, a water atomizer, a Tillandsia plant, and an easy-to-follow set of instructions to take care of the lil' guy. You only need to provide a sunny spot for your new friend!

#Dr.Oz and #Manuka #Honey and my favorite #Wedderspoon!

Dr.Oz show, I'm the Beauty Expert giving my Manuka Honey anti wrinkle mask recipes and benefits of honey the organic beauty. from Cherie Corso on Vimeo.

The benefits of honey are amazing, as demonstrated on Dr.Oz my favorite is Manuka Honey which promotes skin regeneration, repairs cellular damage and lessens appearance of wrinkles.

Hydrates: When applied to your skin, manuka will hold in moisture and absorb moisture from the air for a dewy, glowing complexion.

Anti-aging: Because of its moisturizing properties, manuka retains moisture without making skin oily, the first step in wrinkle-free skin.,helps slow down enzymes that destroy collagen.

My favorite is Wedderspoon brand, because I know its pure, not mixed with fillers like some other brands you can purchase at  http://wedderspoon.com. On the Dr Oz  show, I showed my favorite manuka honey mask, it is with cinnamon and apply it as a mask. Steam your skin, pay dry and apply a thin layer of manuka blended with a pinch of cinnamon. Leave on for 20 minutes and gently wipe off. Close pores after by rinsing with cold water. Use the same mixture as a spot treatment and leave on overnight to see blemishes disappear.

Cleanser: Add a few drops of hot water to a quarter-sized dollop of  Wedderspoon Manuka and cleanse massage around your entire face for three minutes (make sure you're not wearing any makeup). Gently wipe off with a washcloth or sponge for extra exfoliation.

Dark spot treatment: To fade acne scars, brighten and resurface the skin, mix a quarter-sized dollop of  Wedderspoon manuka, fresh-squeezed lemon and a teaspoon of olive oil. Massage mask into steamed skin and allow the mixture to work its magic for 20 minutes. Rinse and close pores with cool water.

Manuka honey is often graded as "12+ or "16+," which indicates its concentration of beneficial compounds and antioxidants, so the higher the number, the stronger the antibiotic effect.  http://wedderspoon.com

It was one snowy day right after the storm hit the city. The weather was freezing cold and sunny and the road was extremely messy. I had to get up from the bed at 8 am and dressed up for Kung Fu Panda 3  screening event with Kate Hudson and Lucy Liu, by www.themoms.com  but that was not what excited me; the only reason to why I had the enthusiasm to get up and dress early in the morning in a freezing weather was the opportunity to learn from Cherie Corso. Cherie is an innovative founder of G2 Organics www.g2organics.com, blogger www.cheriecorso.com, mom, and of course my boss! G2 Organics? Are you sure they are true organics? Yes my dear, I can assure you they all are organics, odorless, and colorless. You know what I love about odorless products? First, they are not too confident that we would accept their choice of scent. Second, we can add our scent to the product. For example, you can spray your favorite perfume on the spot where you apply the Hickey Stick. Your perfume will last longer and get much stronger because the Hickey Stick traps the molecules so they do not evaporate as much as they would without the Hickey Stick.

HEADER

The movie, besides telling impossible stories of animals doing Kung Fu 3, also teaches us about the power that comes from within. Our exclusive nail polisher that comes with Rikei Charge exhales positive energy. Well, of course, not colorful energy like the one you will see on the movie. It is that positive aura that you feel when you play around with the bottle. How do I explain something colorless, odorless, and can’t be seen? There is no one definitive way to describe Rikei aura that comes out from the bottle, that is why you should get a bottle to feel it yourself, and I am sure you all will understand what I mean by then.
Till my next post fashion bunnies!

#KateHudson & #LucyLiu KUNG FU PANDA 3 MAMARAZZI®

Kung Fu Panda 3, opens today in theaters, I had a sneak preview. I especially liked this move because I’m a  Reiki Master and spiritual junkie, I believe in Karma, energy from the universe and trusting your chi.  I do believe this is the best Kung Fu Panda movie.  Everyone agreed, The Moms, press, bloggers, kids, we all loved it. I especially liked when we got up close and personal with Kate Hudson and Lucy Liu. Yes ladies they were great, very open and answered all our questions.

506944048“When you find what you’re passionate about it drives so much of your life acting, singing, and dancing are a few things I’m passionate about but people are my true passion, really connecting with them and I find that I can do that in so many different ways.”  ~Kate Hudson

What I love about this particular movie is that it talks about  love and acceptance. Even if you have a birth father or an adoptive father it doesn’t really matter its your family or the people you surround yourself with. There is enough love to go around..” ~Lucy Liu,

IMG_6450IMG_6450IMG_6445The sponsors for the event were  LYNX FITNESS & CHEVY TRI-STATE. I can’t believe I won the raffle for the home fitness package minus the personal trainer. I cant wait to get started.

#2016 #Valentines Day #Recipe for falling in #LOVE ! xoxo

#2016 #Valentines Day #Recipe for #LOVE, that works!

IMG_7992As a Reiki Master, I know this to be true, but people always want scientific proof. I challenge you to try it. Doing, with the right intention is the most powerful aphrodisiac in life not only Valentines Day.
"Cooking with Love and Getting Results" is perfect for Valentines. I'm not sure if you ever heard of "THE Rice Experiment" or "What the Bleep do we know" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/What_the_Bleep_Do_We_Know!%3F its very powerful and true. This experiment shows when food, water are treated with the right intention they flourish, when treated bad they die.  Most people agree that positive thinking has power, this would be a fun, informative and can only help.IMG_7991

"COOKING WITH LOVE and Getting RESULTS"

"Cooking with LOVE and getting Results" highlights the intention and integrity of good energy!
– Send love and good energy into the food while cooking, even play happy music.
-positive intentions make the food taste better, it translates in taste and feelings as you prepare, eat, digest.
-Engagement Chicken, perfect example, its a delicious lemon chicken. Has all the right stuff, lemon for detoxification,andprotein.http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Engagement-Chicken-364889
-healthy ingredients raise ones personal vibration to feel better
-love has such a powerful energy that it does effect the way people taste and digest food.
example KOBE beef, the animals are treated very humanly and the meat is better.IMG_7993

This is a example of intention when cooking.Engagement Chicken, every person should know, the recipe that started it all. And once you've made it, you'll know why. It serves up the kind of home-cooked goodness that no restaurant meal can top. The chicken's crispy skin is drenched in herb-infused juices (don't forget to pour the pan dripping back over the chicken before serving or, alternately, to drizzle them over individual pieces on the plate), and the trick of turning the chicken 15 minutes into cooking keeps the meet uniquely moist.

All sides will work with a main course this splendid. You can go with either white wine (in which case a Riesling would be nice) or red (try pinot noir). Positive & Happy cooking-and an even happier future to you and the lucky person you've deemed worthy of this dish.IMG_7990Cooking with love, good ingredients and happy thoughts always makes everything taste better. As a mother who loves to cook, I think we all know nothing tastes better then a home cooked meal.

What do facial features tell us about our REPUBLICAN presidential candidate? The FACE tells it all

What do facial features tell us about our REPUBLICAN presidential candidate?  The FACE tells it all

http://www.newmediapatriotradio.com/conservative-blog/2016/2/5/episode-19-what-do-facial-features-tell-us-about-our-republican-presidential-candidate-the-face-tells-it-all

What does each presidential candidate features say about them? I have been studying by face reading for over 20  years. Face reading is Chinese art of Face Reading  over 2000 years old, is an ancient form of physiognomy and entails the use of the face and facial characteristics to evaluate key aspects of a person just how much you can learn about a person just from just their eyes, ears, mouth, nose and eyebrow, and I love  reading hands too. One can tell a lot. We hear wise tails and nicknames for certain features that in many cases turn out to be true. For example stubby fingers “grabby person”, at least this is what my grandmother would say and I have found it to be true. The FBI have many files on certain characteristics, Journal of Social, Evolutionary, and Cultural Psychology, Jeffrey M. Valla, Stephen J. Ceci, and Wendy M. Williams of Cornell University show that people can tell criminals and noncriminal apart simply by looking at their still photos . This is groundbreaking proof in todays world, but the practice of face reading has existed for thousands of years not just in China. I like taking a look at the faces of our presidential candidates.

I can tell you a more about he candidate’s them by their features, then what they say and who will be the best president. Favorable and unfavorable facial features. The placement, flashiness, position, I have been practicing in a non-judgmental way for years.

Eye movement, looking up to right is lying, unsure, the way the eyes move. Everything  on the face means something, for example big ears like president Obama has, means listener, always listening, never taking action. Now small ears tiny ears, means selective hearing and selfish.

Based on my years of face reading this is my read on our REPUBLICAN presidential candidate

IMG_5947Donald Trump, lips are even when pressed together, that means he can keep a secret and not show his hand when negotiating. Straight nose, in balance with the rest of the face, means he looks at situations straight on, deep set eyes, means he looks very closely and examining you as he speaks. he is not trusting of a lot of people. He listens but not afraid to act on his gut. Trump is very creative and passionate. He has traits of a good leader.IMG_5946Ted Cruz, his nose points downward, this means he looks very scenically at situations, very defensive, not open. The eyes are even slightly pointed downward, he looks at the world in a very black or white manor, he does not have a lot of patience. His protruding chin, means he is very stubborn. Hard to work for.

IMG_5944Marco Rubio, "egg head" large protruding forehead, he takes in a lot of information and remembers facts. His eyes are squinty, according to the placement, he makes decisions on information he knows more then what he sees and feels.Big ears, likes to gather information. He does not have a lot of space between nose and lip, this means he is not creative or very passionate.IMG_5945Ben Carson, his eyes slant downward they don't like to say NO! He had wide eyes also, this means broadminded, he tries to look at every situation in many ways. His forehead is slightly protruding, he likes to think before he speaks, he over analizes and finds it hard to  say no and make quick descions. Big lips very nurturing, finds it hard to say no.IMG_5942Chris Christie, small mouth, means he likes a lot of personal space and privacy. His fleshy round cheeks, means he likes to give advice. He has a small nose for a man of his size, that means he dose not focus on tiny details. He has a lot of white showing in eyes, could have a tendency to cheat be dishonest.IMG_5941Jeb Bush His forehead slants inward, he does not like to talk about his feelings. His eyebrows are growing in all different directions, this means he changes his mind a lot. He has a strong jaw line, very confident, even lips, he tries to see the balance. He has very soft fearures for a man, not a fighter.

IMG_5943Democratic candidate, Hillary Clinton, eyes and corners of mouth slanted downward, very dishonest!
