Wow, we were on Page6  in the New York Post with this The famous music video shot by Bryan Griffin in Pelham. While waiting for my hair and makeup to be done, at Glamsense Diva Beauty Bar http://www.glamsensedivas.com/ I interviewed the legenary MTV Dr. Dre, I liked his answer and his advise to Nicki and Cardi keep creating and stop fighting, he also stated that the artist dont't win when they fight with each other. The only people who win are the promoters selling T-shirts!This was my first music video and it was fun. I enjoyed is the creative people involved. Our  talented Pop star Aaron Paul, http://www.aaronpaulmusic.com  who is a multi-talented singer, songwriter, model, and fashionista was prepared with 7 outfit changes, from, hats, shoes, boots, rings and makeup. One ring even flew off his finger while he was dancing. I love this designer, Marnita Miller  she is the creative genius behind the much-buzzed-about EFABB COLLECTION. Her designs are bold, yet practical. Her use of vibrant colors and unique fabrics create a classic, sophisticated, trendsetting style that is sure to get noticed. Her tailoring skill has gained her a following in the south. 
As a high school graduate this Mississippi-native had high hopes of attending Parson School of Design in New York City but when tragedy struck her family years before, her dreams were met with much reluctance.

Exercises can be conducted anywhere, holding onto anything that will help you stabilize yourself. Example a barre, wall, chair, cable machine etc.

Exercise#1 Plie straighten 
This is how to conduct: Hold onto barre with your left hand while the right hand is held straight out to the side. Stand with heels together in a duck position and only turn your feet out as far as your hips naturally allow you. Hold your pelvis in a neural pelvic tilt position elongating the hip flexors. Then bend the knees pressing the heals down to floor keeping the thighs aligned over the feet. Then return to straight leg duck position. Do 10 reps, 2 sets

Exercise #2 Plie Releve 
This is how to conduct: Hold the barre with the left hand while the right hand is held straight out to the side. Start with the heals touching in the duck position holding a neutral pelvic tilt position. Always keeping the hips and pecs aligned. Then bend your knees pressing the heels down to the floor with your thighs aligned over your feet. This is called a plie position. From this position raise the heels up as high as you can elongating the legs to a straight position. As you do this be sure to squeeze your thighs and keep the heels facing each other the entire time as your thighs are held turned out in opposite directions. Then as you lower down bend your knees and come back to the starting plie position. 10 reps, 2 sets

Exercise #3 Tondu lift
This is how to conduct: Hold the barre with the left hand and the right arm held straight out to the side. Start with the heels together in the duck position holding a neutral pelvic tilt position. Always keeping the pecs and hips aligned straight across when you look in the mirror. Point your right leg and foot in front of you in the center of your body. Hold the left leg completely straight with your body weight over the ball of the left foot. Make sure to keep the right leg externally rotated toward the outside of the body and the foot pointed throughout exercise. Then lift your right leg 45 degrees and lower back down to the floor. Make sure to always lift from underneath your leg ( use the hamstring muscles, never grip with the quadriceps.) Should be like a lever is lifting your leg up. 10 reps Repeat this to the side and back. 
When done all three positions with the right leg, turn around and hold on with the right hand and do the left leg in all three positions. 10 reps in each position.

Exercise #4 Tondu lift and turn leg in/out
This is how to conduct exercise: Holding the barre with the left hand and the right arm extended straight out to the side. Start with heals together in the duck position holding your pelvis in a neutral pelvic tilt position. Make sure the Pecs and hips are aligned straight across. Point your right leg and foot in front of you in the center of your body maintaining external rotation. The left leg should be completely straight with your body weight over the ball of the left foot. Then lift the right leg with your foot pointed (using the hamstrings) to a 45 degree level and hold. Then internally rotate your right leg toward the inside of your body and then externally rotate it back toward the outside of your body. 10 reps  Repeat to the side and back of you.
When done all three positions with the right leg turn around hold barre with the right hand and repeat with the left leg.

IMG_1165Snatched was a silly fun movie, dumped by her boyfriend on the eve of their vacation, impetuous dreamer Emily Middleton (Amy Schumer) persuades her cautious mother, Linda (Goldie Hawn), to accompany her on an exotic getaway to South America.  Opposites, Emily and Linda must soon work through their differences to escape from a wildly outrageous and dangerous jungle adventure funny, entertaining. But the best part was meeting Amy and Goldie at TheMom's blogger movie premier event on Park Ave in New York City. The interview was serious at times but Amy true to herself was hysterical The moms interviewed and hosted Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn for a Mamaraazzi event in NYC for their new movie Snatched. They sat down with The MOMS to dish on the film and during the interview Amy admitted “her uterus remains empty for now, but she would like to have kids someday.” I also gave Amy Schumer a crystal for good energy and she liked it! I gave the one to Donald Trump too, hey we all need good energy, maybe on a higher level it will help. We all had a absolute blast and even all dance together in honor of #DanceforBreastCancerChallenge.

I have been practicing yoga for years and it does enhance your ability to stay focused on task improve your attitude and decreases anxiety. I also think it helps you to feel Zen, focus, and even loose weight. When you feel good you look good! I find after I go to yoga class, my creativity and communication skills are much better. Yoga is fantastic it will only help you improve your overall health and well-being and mental function. 5. Yoga is honoring your body and making yourself feel good, makes me feel centered when all the energy is flowing and the blood is pumping.

images-15I call this on the go YOGA! Sometimes we are not able to get to the yoga studio, here are 3 poses I'm sure you know already know just be mindful when doing feel Zen and practice yoga on the go! Slow down and breathe, sip your honey and water.

1. "Half dog"Makha" Svanasana

Hold on to chair lean forward in bend over. This perfect for relieving back pain if you've been sitting for a while on the bus or train just lean over and let your body hang. 


2. "Chair pose" Utkstasana  this strengthens your shins leg gluteus, of course, bring your feet to gather or hip width apart reach her tailbone towards the floor back straight and she said into an imaginary chair reach your fingertips towards the ceiling. 


3. "Forward bend" Uttanasana 

Place both feet firmly on the floor and place your fingertips are palms next to the outer edge of each foot pull your torso feel forward and just do a nice stretch. 


4. Tree pose is easy to do and helps get you back in balance.

#Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel perfect for#kids Birthday Party

 

Sheraton New York Time Square #kids #parties, oh yes! I highly recommend it was a blast, for Mom and Dad too!

Parents, do you have fun at your kids party? I think last year when the Hawaiian luau had to be moved indoors because of the storm, and I had to cancel the flame throwers and hire my trainer from the gym to entertain, as well as the zumba teacher to be the Hula dancer, I said to myself the next year I'm having a fun, stress free party. I love my daughters birthday, she was born on Mothers's Day so its always a special to me. I've done sleepovers, backyard Hawaiian parties, spa parties, Lady bug party, Alice in Wonderland, Broadway, Candy Land. Even when I have it at a restaurant, its still lugging decorations, gift bags, and the after party party! This year I wanted to do something that was enjoyable for my husband and myself. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed all the other parties but this year I left it to  to the incredible, professionals at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide.

​We all had the best time, the service and attention to detail was beyond. When we walked into the adjoining suites  and balloons, elegant hand written birthday note, chocolate covered strawberries, apple cider champagne, cake music playing  more, it set the mood for a fabulous celebration.The manager, and staff were attentive, engaged and made the party effortless. We all had the best time!

The view of the city was amazing, the food at the hotel outstanding. Time Square had the energy and excitement. New York City has a energy that no other city in the world has.

The benefits of honey are amazing, as demonstrated on Dr.Oz my favorite is Manuka Honey which promotes skin regeneration, repairs cellular damage and lessens appearance of wrinkles.

Hydrates: When applied to your skin, manuka will hold in moisture and absorb moisture from the air for a dewy, glowing complexion.

Anti-aging: Because of its moisturizing properties, manuka retains moisture without making skin oily, the first step in wrinkle-free skin.,helps slow down enzymes that destroy collagen.

My favorite is Wedderspoon brand, because I know its pure, not mixed with fillers like some other brands you can purchase at  http://wedderspoon.com. On the Dr Oz  show, I showed my favorite manuka honey mask, it is with cinnamon and apply it as a mask. Steam your skin, pay dry and apply a thin layer of manuka blended with a pinch of cinnamon. Leave on for 20 minutes and gently wipe off. Close pores after by rinsing with cold water. Use the same mixture as a spot treatment and leave on overnight to see blemishes disappear.

Cleanser: Add a few drops of hot water to a quarter-sized dollop of  Wedderspoon Manuka and cleanse massage around your entire face for three minutes (make sure you're not wearing any makeup). Gently wipe off with a washcloth or sponge for extra exfoliation.

Dark spot treatment: To fade acne scars, brighten and resurface the skin, mix a quarter-sized dollop of  Wedderspoon manuka, fresh-squeezed lemon and a teaspoon of olive oil. Massage mask into steamed skin and allow the mixture to work its magic for 20 minutes. Rinse and close pores with cool water.
