Wellness Wednesday!  Wellness Wednesday!Wellness Wednesday! come on feel GOOD!!!

Happy Wellness Wednesday everyone! Today I want to share with you 10 great ideas to having a positive body image, which is so important. People criticize themselves too harshly when it comes to their appearance; stop comparing yourself others! Here are the 10 steps:

I think they all are wonderful ideas, but one that I would really like to focus on is number 9. I think the perfect way to do something nice for yourself is to treat yourself with one of the amazing recipes from our “Sweet Tooth” board. Let your body know you appreciate it for the way it looks by enjoying a coconut hot chocolate with almond whipped cream! Below is the recipe fromhttp://deliciouslyorganic.net/coconut-hot-chocolate-recipe/

For the hot chocolate:

1 cup whole milk

1 (14 ounce) can of coconut milk

2 tablespoons cocoa powder

2 tablespoons maple syrup

3.5 ounces dark chocolate (broken into small pieces)

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

For the whipped cream:

¾ cup cold heavy (or whipping) cream

½ cup mascarpone

½ teaspoon almond extract

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

¼ cup unsweetened coconut flakes, toasted

Place cream, mascarpone, and extracts into a mixing bowl. Whisk until soft peaks form.

Whisk milk, coconut milk, cocoa powder, maple syrup and chocolate in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Whisk until smooth and steaming. Remove from heat and whisk in vanilla extract. Serve hot chocolate with whipped cream on top and sprinkle with coconut flakes.

This is the perfect drink for the transition from fall to winter. I would have never thought to put coconut milk into hot chocolate!
