Visual comedy, life lesson and cute little blue guys is a winning formula for cast and Raja Gosnell the director of The Smurfs 2. I saw the movie in NYC at a blue carpet screening, it was very exciting for my daughter to meet the smurfs, okay I loved it too, they were so cuddly and cute!! Hank Azaria who played Gargame was there too, he kills me, I have liked him since his roll in Pretty Woman with Julia Roberts, remember?? He walked into the room with out a cape and said "Hello my little Smurfs", my ten year old loved it, some of the kids got scared but it was so funny. YES YES I wanted a picture, but we stepped back and let the photogs do their thing. We took the moment, sometimes like all of us we take everything in through camera, so we stayed in the moment and I just felt the energy. Honestly I was "NY COOL" with Hank but could not contain myself when I ran in to Dan Abrams legal analyst at Dan Abrams (danabrams) on Twitter ABC News Good Morning America with his family. He is just a nice smart man,
I had to give him a crystal for continued positive energy. I just respect his legal opinion on cases he always breaks it down and has a logical point of view. I just appreciate his authentisy vs some of the blow hards I see and hear on TV. Anyhow back to the movieThe Smurfs 2 | Official Movie Site | Sony Pictures
The Smurfs have been just smuffing since their 2011 big-screen outing, but there’s trouble stirring in their new adventure-comedy that will require their mix of optimism and silly enthusiasm to resolve the wraith of Sorcerer Gargamel (Hank Azaria).
The movie had a vibe of happiness, and beloning to a family. I enjoyed the NewYork City scenes and Katy Perry Katy Perry (katyperry) on Twitterwas just the perfect! We all went to the party at Dylan's Candy Bar.

The birthday of Smurfette’s (Katy Perry) KATY PERRY // Official Website // presents the opportunity for her to recall her conflicted origins – rather than a “true-blue” Smurf, I just love the picture above from the LA event in THE SUN, she was actually Gargamels daughter and raised by Popa Smurf. Because she was always shown unconditional love and respect she was a true Smurf, but always had bad dreams about not being "a real Smurf". Gargamel (Hank Azaria)Hank Azaria (HankAzaria) on Twitter, has a evil plan to kidnap her from her enchanted-forest home to obtain the formula for the magical Smurf-essence that Papa Smurf (Jonathan Winters) used to originally blessed her with blue skin. Once he has the secret, Gargamel plans to power up a host of Naughties, Smurf-sized creatures he’s created, to help him take over the world. The kids in the theater loved and feared Gargamel. It reminded me of how I felt about Crella de Vil the antagonist from 101 Dalmatians.
So he sent his Naughty daughter Vexy (Christina Ricci)http://www.christinaricci.ws to drag Smurfette through a magic portal and into the real world where he can toy and manipulate her inherent identity issues. Papa Smurf and his mismatched extraction team consisting of Grouchy (George Lopez),http://www.christinaricci.ws Clumsy (Anton Yelchin) and Vanity (John Oliver) will have to portal to the live-action world to reunite in Paris with his beautiful sweet young family of Patrick (Neil Patrick Harris) Neil Patrick Harris (NPHnews) on Twitter and Grace (Jayma Mays) Winslow, their live-action counterparts from the original movie, if they’re to have any chance of rescuing Smurfette.
Belgian Smurfs comic-strip originator PierreCulliford adds some visual interest, with Paris as the backdrop for the Smurfs’ rescue and recovery mission, I did enjoy the backdrop of Paris but NYC is where the action is. I loved the use of crystals in the movie, finally the recognition of the power of crystals in being recognizes. Thank YOU!
The Smurfs director Raja Gosnell (Beverly Hills Chihuahua, Scooby Doo) understand the power of cuteness, and deliverers with the Smurfs’ big-screen return. With the understanding of entertaining adults and kids he entertained us the audience enjoyed repeating lines, gags and life lessons. I likes the Smurf "talk" and the silliness, of the adjectives as names. I was able to sit back with my family and relax as well as be entertained. OMG I almost forgot to tell you to watch for this part….the "apartment scene" is so funny at the beginning of the movie with narsistic, self absorbed, parenting scene, when they give the little boy a Birthday party, is very funny. It personifies the "kookiness" and need for "PC" in parent's minds . I loved it, I wanted to jump up and scream YES YES see how nutty it's gotten.
In his final film role, Jonathan Winters reprises the beneficent Papa Smurf with the requisite twinkle in his voice, but compassionately understands Katie Perry’s bewildered, wounded and ultimately outraged Smurfette. Harris and Mays, as the parents of a young boy appropriately named “Blue” (JacobTremblay), acquit themselves good-natured enough, although it's Brendan Gleeson as Patrick’s well-intentioned but misunderstood stepfather, Vince Winslow, who is my favorite, shines throughout the movie even when he is a bird he is hysterical. Azaria ahain makes the movie, he is brilliant as the bumbelling wizard with the bad teeth. The unrelenting, team of Smurf rescuers featuring Lopez George Lopez (_George_Lopez__) on Twitter , Yelchin and Oliver were very funny.
Overall I loved this movie and also check out my favorite The Moms in Chicogo at the MAMARAZZI EVENT, http://themoms.com They were fantastic!
